About This Disease

Apple Maggot adult flies lay eggs under fruit skin. Larvae tunnel through fruit flesh, creating brown tracks. Damaged fruitrots and drops prematurely.

How to Identify

  1. Stings (small holes) where eggs are laid. Brown trails inside fruit from larval feeding. Premature fruit drop. Maggots inside fruit when cut.
